I aim to enable family members, couples and others who care about each other to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions in a safe place. From here, families can learn to build on strengths and make useful changes in their relationships and lives. Sometimes it may be helpful to see individuals within the family for a couple of sessions, this might be a child, an adolescent or a parent. Other times, it might be more helpful to work with the parents for some Couples Therapy. Some families may come for a few sessions others may attend over a much longer time period. Sessions might be weekly, fortnightly or even monthly. This is something we will work out together.
